MINE DISASTER IN TURKEY!

On May 13, 2014, an explosion at the Soma coal mine in Manisa Province, Turkey, led to one of the deadliest mining disasters in the country's history. A fire, triggered by an electrical fault, quickly spread through the mine's tunnels, producing toxic carbon monoxide and trapping hundreds of workers underground. Despite rescue efforts, 301 miners lost their lives, and scores more were injured. The incident exposed serious safety lapses, including inadequate ventilation, faulty gas sensors, and insufficient emergency protocols. Public outrage over the disaster sparked nationwide protests and brought increased scrutiny to Turkey's mining industry. In the aftermath, government officials and mine executives faced legal action, and new regulations were introduced to improve worker safety.
