ABU DHABI'S BIGGEST FIELD!

On June 11, 1962, production began on the first offshore rig in the Umm Shaif field. A significant offshore oil field located in the Arabian Gulf, approximately 135 kilometers northwest of Abu Dhabi. Discovered in 1958, it was the first offshore oil field in Abu Dhabi. The field produces both crude oil and natural gas, with a current oil production capacity of approximately 275,000 barrels per day. Over the years, ADNOC has invested in the field's infrastructure to enhance production efficiency and maintain output levels. As of recent data, the field has recovered approximately 54% of its total recoverable reserves. With estimated total recoverable reserves of around 3.9 billion barrels, this suggests that Umm Shaif has produced roughly 2.1 billion barrels of oil to date.
